The Ukrainian Community Center of Washington is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the "Children of Victory" project, created by IMOCE and U4UKids.
As part of the project, on June 11, staff from the Ukrainian Center spent the day with the children of fallen Heroes in the war in Ukraine by organizing various activities in Seattle.
"It was a great honor for us to be part of the “Children of Victory” project, which allows the children of fallen Heroes of Ukraine to smile, live, and dream again. The activities organized in #Seattle were not only an opportunity to see the sights but also to give the children a new positive experience, emotions, and a distraction from the horrors of war. Seeing a smile on a child's face is a blessing. Every loss is a pain that words cannot express, and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring joy and new experiences to the Children of Victory, even for a moment," said Oleg Pynda, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Community Center.
The Ukrainian Center is thankful to IMOCE, U4UKids, all the families who hosted the children, and the churches caring for them.
The "Children of Victory" is a project that was created by IMOCE and U4UKids and involves hosting the children of fallen Heroes in the war in Ukraine for one month. The project's main goal is to provide the children with a break from the war, offer new positive experiences to motivate them for the future, strengthen the support system for them and their parents or guardians, open doors for future opportunities such as education or work in America, sow the seeds of God's love in their hearts, show people in America what war does to families, and inspire action.
